About the Role
As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a key role in managing accounts payable, inventory, and bi-weekly payroll processing. You'll be responsible for ensuring financial transactions are handled with accuracy and efficiency while maintaining confidentiality. Key Responsibilities
Manage the full accounts payable process, including verification, coding, data entry, payment approvals, and maintaining accurate records.
Assist with credit card charges, employee expense reports, and statement reconciliations.
Prepare and review accounts payable reports, ensuring accurate reconciliations.
Issue, verify, and receive production and project purchase orders.
Assist with raw material purchase orders, receiving, inventory adjustments, and month-end cost reconciliation.
Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests.
Assist in software implementations and other finance-related projects.
Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including timesheet verification and reconciliation.
Generate payroll reports from the HRIS system and distribute them accordingly.
Provide front desk support as needed, including answering phones and greeting visitors.
Perform general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing.
Maintain accurate accounting department records and files.
Support special accounting projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience: Associate's degree in accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
Detail-Oriented: Strong numeracy and reconciliation skills with a commitment to accuracy.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Industry Experience: Experience in bookkeeping, construction, or manufacturing is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.74 per hour
