Our client located in Greenfield, MA is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join their team!

Your qualifications for the Accounting Assistant position are as follows:

• Associates Degree in accounting preferred, will consider equivalent experience
• 1-3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
• Great Plains and Salesforce experience are a plus
• Professional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Pleasant customer service demeanor
• Excellent organizational skills and commitment to follow through
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple shifting priorities
• Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to use standard office equipment

Benefits you will receive as the Accounting Assistant:

• Temp to Hire position
• Full time Monday Friday 7:30am-4pm
• $22-$24/hour based on skills and experience

For the Accounting Assistant position your duties will include:

• Process incoming mail and invoices
• Enter Accounts Payable into system
• Reconcile monthly statements
• Filing
• Run check batches twice per week
• Track purchases on spreadsheet
• Reconcile credit card statement
• Daily bank deposits
• Process payments
• Assist customers and internal team members with accounting inquiries
• Assist with annual audit
• Provide backup for payroll processing
