Key Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose and repair residential appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, ovens, and more, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Maintain a superior level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service excellence.
• Communicate seamlessly with customers, tech support, dispatch, routing, and management to coordinate repairs.
• Make timely decisions to resolve issues efficiently during in-home service calls.
• Work independently from home, dispatching to customer locations, while collaborating with the team as needed.
• Process transactions, collect payments, issue receipts, and manage repair records, customer data, and technical info using a company-issued tablet or laptop.
• Leverage basic computer skills and iPad proficiency for scheduling, invoicing, and technical research.
• Apply strong technical and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and fix appliance issues under varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct appliance repair experience (no experience? Apply for our apprentice position!).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with tablet-based technology for transactions and records; strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally without assistance; capability to perform strenuous work.
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for operating a company car.
• Tools: Complete set of standard industry tools required (specialty tools provided by Appliance Tec).
• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
