Michael P. Maddux, P.A.  is a service driven firm that practices personal injury and criminal defense law and civil rights litigation. Mr. Maddux is proud to have been recognized as a Super Lawyer for several years for our work in criminal defense and civil rights. About You

• You're a dynamic criminal defense attorney with 2+ years of experience, ready to handle cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies.
• Embrace challenges, showcase your legal prowess, and contribute to a positive, fun, and collaborative work environment.
• Be sharp, energetic, and hungry to grow into one of the best litigators in the field.
• Enjoy autonomy, schedule control, and a stellar work/life balance.

Requirements

• Manage criminal cases from inception to resolution
• Represent clients at arraignments, pretrial hearings, and motions
• Conduct and prepare depositions
• Develop defense strategies and prepare clients for trial
• Draft and argue motions, including motions to suppress evidence
• Handle discovery and negotiate plea agreements
• Navigate complex legal issues, such as constitutional challenges
• Trial experience is a bonus
• Florida Bar license is a must

A Florida Bar license is a requirement for this position. This is an onsite job with flexibility when necessary. If you are bi-lingual, that will be a huge plus.
