Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled Attorney to join our legal team on a long-term contract basis. This position will focus primarily on managing commercial contracts and vendor negotiations, while also supporting employment law matters and real estate agreements. While the role is fully remote, candidates should be comfortable working east coast hours and collaborating across multiple time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to manage vendor agreements and services.
- Provide legal advice on employment law matters, including investigations and HR-related concerns.
- Assist in drafting and negotiating real estate agreements for commercial and operational needs.
- Redline and finalize contracts with third-party vendors to meet organizational requirements.
- Navigate transactional legal matters and support cross-functional teams in resolving issues.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to address legal risks and provide strategic counsel.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Support the small, dynamic legal team in handling diverse legal tasks and priorities.
- Participate in virtual meetings and provide clear communication to both U.S.-based and global teams. Requirements - Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in contract law, commercial agreements, or in-house counsel roles.
- Proficiency in redlining and negotiating contracts with third-party vendors.
- Strong understanding of employment law and experience with HR-related legal issues.
- Familiarity with real estate agreements, particularly commercial and operational contracts.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while adhering to east coast hours.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional team engagement.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
