Description Position: Chief Executive Officer Department: Executive FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Board of Directors JOB SUMMARY: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EngageMED leads all aspects of the company’s operations, focusing on client satisfaction, achieving long-term goals, driving growth, ensuring profitability, and maximizing return on investment.
As the highest-ranking executive, the CEO reports directly to the Board of Directors and holds ultimate responsibility for the company’s overall success. This includes making strategic, high-level managerial decisions that shape the company’s vision and direction.
Supervisory Responsibilities: - Provides oversight for the ongoing operations of all company departments, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Leads and directs EngageMED toward achieving its core goals and strategic priorities.
- Oversees executive-level employment decisions, including hiring, promotions, and performance evaluations.
- Guides a team of executives in evaluating and making critical decisions related to acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, or large-scale expansions.
- Fosters communication, collaboration, and synergy among departments to cultivate a unified and cohesive organizational culture.
Duties/Responsibilities: - Create and effectively communicate the strategic direction and overall vision for the company.
- Collaborates with the Board of Directors and leads the development of the company’s short- and long-term strategies to achieve success.
- Cultivates and sustains a workplace culture that attracts and retains top talent.
- Offers strategic feedback and guidance to EngageMED’s executive leaders, including directors, vice presidents, and presidents, to empower them in achieving their objectives.
- Maintain a high degree of client satisfaction, as evidenced by a healthy Net Promoter Score (NPS). retention of existing clients, and new client growth.
- Oversees the organization’s financial structure, ensuring adequate and sound funding for the mission and goals of the company.
- Delivers regular updates on EngageMED’s operational performance to the board of directors and company staff.
- Oversees the organization’s fee structure, ensuring it aligns with fair market value while remaining as cost-effective as possible for clients.
- Analyzes financial performance across all operations, compares outcomes with EngageMED’s objectives, and implements corrective actions to address any underperformance.
- Maintains awareness of the competitive market landscape, expansion opportunities, industry developments, etc.
- Assessing risks to the company and ensuring they are monitored and minimized.
- Ensures EngageMED compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards.
- Negotiates with other companies regarding actions such as mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
- Performs other related duties to benefit the mission and values of EngageMED.
Required Skills/Abilities: - Master’s degree in business or healthcare management required.
- Minimum of 15 years executive-level management experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong preference for expertise in provider practice management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and effectively convey strategic vision.
- Comprehensive knowledge of management and financial practices across all facets of a provider’s medical practice, including advanced financial analysis and operational acumen.
Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises
