Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Civil Aviation Project Manager to lead a variety of aviation-related engineering projects. This mid-senior level role is perfect for someone who has a passion for aviation infrastructure and is ready to contribute to impactful, high-quality projects that serve the needs of communities.
You will manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the client's expectations. Your work will involve overseeing engineering solutions, managing teams, and fostering business development opportunities to enhance project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Implement project management policies and procedures to ensure project success.
Develop service scopes, negotiate project fees, and plan tasks to ensure timely and on-budget project execution.
Lead a team, manage project scope, identify opportunities for additional services, and collaborate with clients to secure additional fees.
Ensure high client satisfaction by meeting and exceeding expectations.
Work closely with the project accountant to ensure invoicing is accurate and timely, and assist with collections when necessary.
Engineering:
Serve as the Engineer of Record for projects.
Develop sound engineering solutions that safely meet client requirements.
Implement quality control plans to ensure deliverables meet established standards.
Create production work plans, schedules, and budgets.
Assist in preparing scopes and budgets for new task orders or amendments.
Lead aviation airside and/or landside design project teams using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for plan production.
Ensure that projects comply with the relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
Provide guidance and support to design staff on projects.
Experience with airport airside, landside, and infrastructure projects, as well as FAA and TSA regulations, is preferred.
Business Development (BD):
Maintain and foster positive relationships with current and past clients.
Identify new business development opportunities through proactive marketing and networking.
Participate in industry organizations and contribute to internal and external communications to promote the brand.
Lead or support BD efforts, including developing Go/NoGo decisions, writing technical content, and participating in presentations and interviews.
Experience & Education Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management, including experience with small to large-sized projects that involve multiple disciplines.
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
Experience with FAA Advisory Circulars, pavement design, and FAAR Field Design Software is a plus.
