Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Gastroenterology division cares for patients with general and complex diagnoses and symptoms with acute and long term diseases. The Gastroenterology CMA I, in collaboration with other CMA and the Gastroenterology team, performs direct patient care to assigned patients. They manage the flow of clinic and all aspects of care at the clinic visit inclusive of prep, rooming, education and discharge. In addition the CMA I will assist nursing with in clinic procedures and nurse visits, as well as communication with outside agencies to provide care to shared patients. The CMA I partners and with clinic nurses to deliver well rounded care and excellent customer service. The CMA I role in Gastroenterology has a blend of hand on procedures, assists with patient care coordination, education on disease management, and in clinic support. We are looking for someone that is autonomous, collaborative, supportive of teams, educator, customer focused, and solution driven. The CMA I would be joining a large division with a collaborative partnership with Providers and ancillary support staff as well as an engaged and dynamic team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of experience
- MA certification
- BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- More than two years of experience
- Bilingual - Spanish
- Ambulatory care experience
- Pediatrics experience
POSITION DETAILS:
Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts in person (not remote)
FTE: Full-Time, 80 hours per 2 week pay period
The expected hiring range for this position is $23.10 to $31.77
