SouthCoast Health Seeks a Clinical Practice Manager for our Eisenhower Campus

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

I n coordination with the Senior Practice Manager, the Clinical Practice Manager, RN, will be instrumental in developing policies, and procedures to efficiently provide quality patient care. Implements cost effective (office specific) procedures for operational areas including billing, insurance, credit/collections, data processing and space planning while ensuring compliance with operational, clinical and Human Resource policies, procedures, regulations, and standards. Monitors and controls clinic expenditures within budget at Senior Practice Manger’s discretion. 

Develops guidelines for prioritizing clinical work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves work problems.

Oversees clinical operation of the Extender Providers, to ensure standards and policies are upheld.

Oversees patient care services relative to medical records documentation, charting, and transcription. Responds to patient concerns or complaints in a constructive and timely manner if unresolved by Clinical Coordinator. 

Ensures patient plans of care and interventions are documented to support quality measurements and other program requirements to demonstrate results and show quality improvement in patients. 

Anticipates problems that may have a major impact on the facility and its future. Analyzes problems and develops solutions for them. Present solutions to Senior Practice Manager for discussion and decision making.

Monitors daily and monthly operational reports and prepares management reports as needed per Senior Practice Manager. 

Supervises staff typically composed of Clinical Coordinator and Extender Providers. Help to establish and implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for the assigned areas.

Supervises work performance of Prior Authorization staff assigned to the campus and works in conjunction with the Clinical Coordinator to ensure patient access to prescription medications in a timely manner.

Supervises the Integrated Retinal Imaging System (IRIS) technician, monitoring workflow including performance of exams and billing to ensure quality goals are met.

Responsible for all supervisory functions including hiring, training, counseling, disciplining and/or termination of clinical staff.

Processes payroll in conjunction with staffing documentation provided by Clinical Coordinator.

Provides training to existing and new staff on clinical operations of the practice.

Completes performance reviews for all personnel at 90-days and annually based on feedback from the Clinical Coordinator. 

Education:  

RN: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, with minimum of five (5) years clinical experience, or equivalent.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State which you practice or must hold Compact/Multi-State RN License required.

A current BLS from American Heart Association (AHA or American Red Cross) is required. ACLS is preferred.

Experience:  

Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting required. Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience required.
