Job Description

The Congenital Cardiac Catheterization Project on Outcomes (C3PO) is a dynamic, ongoing, multi-center registry that began prospectively collecting data in 2007. The C3PO collaborative is dedicated to fostering a data-driven, multi-center quality improvement infrastructure, empowering its members to enhance patient safety, establish novel metrics, and disseminate findings throughout the congenital cardiac catheterization field.

C3PO has led the field in ground-breaking quality improvement initiatives within congenital cardiac catheterization, aiming to enhance safety and patient outcomes while evaluating measures of procedural effectiveness and resource allocation, as well as strategies for risk mitigation.

The collaborative has experienced substantial growth in recent years, reaching 33 active centers in 2025, with over 100,000 patients included in the registry. Alongside this expansion, we have actively engaged in numerous academic initiatives, achieving significant academic success with 44 publications and 14 ongoing research projects that exemplify our dedication to scholarly excellence
This Clinical Research Assistant I will be responsible for:
  • In collaboration with the supervisor, manage C3PO collaborative operations including liaising with participating institutions, management of the C3PO database, and the preparation of data outcome reports for participating institutions.
  • In collaboration with the supervisor, develop and implement systems and protocols to manage data while meeting data collection targets and adhering to data protection and good clinical practice guidelines.
  • Manage quality improvement initiatives being conducted by the C3PO collaborative, addressing patient outcome quality improvement initiatives.
  • In collaboration with the supervisor, support the development of collaborative webinars and the preparation of conference presentations.
  • Devise efficient and secure techniques for thorough and accurate data collection.
  • Support Institutional Review Board submissions and amendments.
  • Perform other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned or required.
In order to qualify, you must have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in STEM is required, a background in university-level science courses is preferred.
  • Research skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to keep meticulous records are required.
  • Prior experience in clinical research and IRB preparation is preferred.
  • Advanced writing skills.
  • Analytical skills to gather and interpret data in which the information or problems are moderately complex to complex.
