Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The incumbent will lead the enterprise Superuser program to craft a vision for the designing and architecting pre and post live Super User strategy. This position is a dual role acting as the Super User program lead in conjunction with a Clinical Informatics Specialist. This position works closely with Access and Revenue Cycle Readiness and Clinical Operational readiness leads to determine areas that will require additional assistance and "bridge' education and readiness activities in support of clinical information systems. Responsible for gathering all super user lists from all sites and mapping all superusers to the appropriate areas and complete at-the-elbow and super user assessment and schedule. The incumbent acts as a clinical expert and leader in the development, upgrade, enhancement, and support of Clinical Information Systems across the health system. Assesses and restructures current clinical workflow processes, leveraging technology to ensure systems development and maintenance provides operational efficiencies and supports patient safety. Facilitates decisions and work efforts which affect applications and patient care practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Minimum 5 years working in a clinical management role
  • Experience implementing and supporting EMR in ambulatory / clinical setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Current RN license or an equivalent clinical license (i.e. pharmacy)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to understand and interpret clinical needs and transform IT technical tools to meet such needs
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to function as a project leader and project member
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Ability to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for the purpose of problem resolution


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Coordination / management experience
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare IT environment and/or healthcare IT consulting organization
  • Master’s degree in Nursing Informatics
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Experience using / implementing EPIC
