Desktop Analyst

Location: Cary, NC, USA

Pay rate $20 to 25/hr

Must work onsite 5 days a week in Cary, NC

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Desktop Analyst to support our IT and forensics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing laptops and desktops, ensuring that forensic tools are connected to the equipment, and executing pre-programmed diagnostic and forensic programs. The role will also involve securely outputting collected data to designated repositories for further analysis. This position requires technical proficiency, an understanding of security protocols, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decommission and manage laptops and desktops
• Connect and configure forensic tools to the appropriate equipment.
• Execute pre-programmed forensic software and diagnostic tests on systems.
• Collect, verify, and securely store data outputs in a designated secure repository.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware or software issues during forensic operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of equipment configurations and data collection procedures.
• Follow all security protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data

Qualifications:

• Experience with desktop and laptop hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data security.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow strict protocols.
