H&K Equipment is the premier dealer of forklifts, container handlers, railcar movers, utility vehicles, and more in Pittsburgh and the greater tristate area. Headquartered minutes from downtown Pittsburgh and with additional facilities in West Virginia, we sell, rent, service, and rebuild the most unique selection of custom and heavy-duty material handling equipment in the industry. We are currently seeking an experienced
Dispatcher for our Coraopolis, PA shop. Applicant must have a proven record in a service or logistics environment. This is a full-time day position.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Schedule deliveries, pickups, and service appointments as required, ensuring timely and efficient operations
- Plan routes, dispatch drivers or technicians, and manage their daily workload
- Prepare necessary documentation, including dispatch forms, invoices, freight bills, and work orders
- Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide updates
- Log and track operational schedules, customer feedback, and other key information
- Coordinate with service managers, technicians, and vendors to gather information and ensure smooth job execution
- Maintain accurate records, including work orders, purchase orders, and technician logs
- Use software tools and systems to monitor and track progress of both freight and service operations
REQUIREMENTS - At least 2 years of experience as a freight or truck dispatcher; 3-5 years of experience preferred
- Ability to work under pressure is essential
- Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
- High school diploma or equivalency
