We are seeking a Document Imaging Specialist to join our team supporting DOI BSEE Data Management contract in New Orleans, LA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute a range of technical and administrative duties to support document management processes.

  • Prepare documents thoroughly for digital scanning, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Operate and maintain scanning equipment, troubleshooting issues and ensuring functionality for optimal performance.

     

  • Enter and update data accurately in client-specific systems.

     

  • Conduct quality assurance checks on scanned images and data to maintain high standards of accuracy.

     

  • Prepare and organize boxes for secure storage and shipment, adhering to procedural guidelines.

     

  • Maintain precise inventory records of documents processed.

     

  • Collaborate on various project tasks, providing support as necessary to meet team objectives.

     

  • Manage and organize project files both in physical and electronic formats.

  • Ensure timely completion of project tasks and deliverables, adhering to established deadlines and service level agreements.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of two years of experience in office settings, demonstrating familiarity with general office practices.

  • Proficient in using office software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating and collaborating with various teams.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously without compromising quality.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially with a focus on producing quality work.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.

  • Educational background: High School diploma, Technical Certification, or completion of a Technical/Trade School.

  • Eligible to achieve and maintain a Department of the Interior (DOI) Public Trust clearance

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Prior experience handling public and proprietary federal records, data, and documents.

  • Experienced in creating and managing inventories for the Federal Records Center.

  • Familiarity with Kofax software for document capture and management.

  • Proficient in using document management software to enhance file accessibility and integrity.

  • Work schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday - Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
