In this role, you will ensure an exemplary health and safety culture while focusing on environmental sustainability across all sites. You will apply your in-depth HSE knowledge to provide guidance and solutions for U.S. and Canadian-based facilities, as well as our Engineering, Construction, and Field Service Teams, ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety regulations.

This role requires a professional who can make decisive contributions, lead improvement initiatives, and foster a proactive safety culture. This position manages direct reports remotely and collaborates across teams to drive best practices. This is a dynamic opportunity for a results-driven HSE leader to make a meaningful impact within a growing organization while advancing operational excellence and sustainability.

What You’ll Do

HSE Program Design and Implementation

  • Create employee training programs promoting safe working behaviors and regulatory compliance for all employees and contractors across facilities and job sites.

Engagement and Culture Building

  • Oversee multiple safety committees and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and awareness.
  • Serve as the primary contact for safety and emergency-related questions and incident responses, fostering a culture of safety at all levels.

Compliance and Oversight

  • Manage HSE compliance, including conducting audits, program assessments, and contractor safety vetting.
  • Investigate all HSE incidents, identify systemic root causes, and drive corrective action completion.

Training and Communication

  • Provide regular training and communication to line managers and supervisors on safety awareness and compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate HSE risk assessments in collaboration with line managers, business leaders, and team members.

Budget and Program Management

  • Develop and manage the HSE budget, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee PPE programs to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and proper implementation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement projects and promote best practices to advance health, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Provide HSE expertise and reporting for grants, proposals, and customer requests.

Your Experience and Capabilities

  • 5-7 years of demonstrated HSE experience in a multi-site facility environment, with expertise in remote workforce, fleet safety, and electrical safety.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Engineering.
  • Strong project management skills, with proven success in developing and implementing behavior-based safety programs.
  • Hands-on experience investigating incidents, assessing risks, reporting findings, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in environmental health and safety compliance and reporting.
  • Professional Certification (e.g., CSP, CIH) from a nationally recognized organization is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage remote teams effectively and build cross-functional relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on safety and sustainability.

Physical and Environmental Demands

  • Perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Work in a variety of environments, including extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and high-noise areas.
  • Safely operate from ladders and work around high-voltage systems.
  • Travel domestically for work-related purposes (minimum 20% travel required).
