OVERVIEW

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) is an MLS soccer club serving the greater Los Angeles area. POSITION SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer is an integral part of LAFC’s Creative team within the Marketing department, specifically supporting the execution of corporate partnership deliverables as well as other ad hoc projects. This role focuses on designing and executing co-branded templates and creative assets to fulfill sponsorship agreements while showcasing LAFC’s brand alongside its partners. 

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented designer who thrives on creating clean, consistent designs while working efficiently on templated projects across multiple platforms, including digital, social, print, and in-stadium signage. 

This role reports to the Sr. Graphic Designer. 

LAFC is currently operating on a hybrid work model with a minimum of 1 – 2 in-office days per week. Please note that this may vary by role, and your scheduled in-office days are up to the discretion of your supervisor.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must submit a portfolio that demonstrates: 

  • Experience designing templated creative assets and co-branded deliverables. 
  • Proficiency in clean, consistent layout and typography across multiple platforms. 
  • Ability to deliver polished designs that align with brand standards. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Design and deliver co-branded graphics and creative assets for LAFC and its partners across digital, social, print, in-stadium signage, and other platforms, while adhering to brand guidelines and standards. 
  • Create, update, and execute design templates for marketing and partnership deliverables, ensuring speed, accuracy, and consistency. 
  • Build visually engaging presentations and templates (PowerPoint, VISME, etc.) to support the Marketing and Partnership Success team in showcasing campaigns and opportunities. 
  • Maintain LAFC’s cloud-based asset library, ensuring that files, templates, and design deliverables are up-to-date and easily accessible. 
  • Assist the broader Marketing team with design projects and Match Day coverage (home & away) that contribute to LAFC’s brand and marketing initiatives as needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Management. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted. 
  • At least 2–3 years of graphic design experience, ideally in a professional sports team or athletic brand-based setting. 
  • Experience delivering templated designs and working on high-volume creative requests under dynamic and tight deadlines. 
  • Expert level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required. 
  • Strong experience with PowerPoint and VISME for presentation design. 
  • Solid understanding of After Effects and Premiere for light motion graphics and video editing is a plus. 
  • Expert skills in layout, typography, and composition. 
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on producing clean, polished, and consistent designs. 
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities. 
  • Collaborative team player who can take direction and execute with precision and flexibility. 
  • Passion for Los Angeles, soccer, and LAFC’s community-driven mission. 
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and LAFC home & away matches as needed. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to LAFC’s hybrid working model and shifting priorities. 
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. 

SALARY RANGE

At LAFC, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the compensation for this role is $70,000 per year.
