Responsibilities of the position include a combination of classroom teaching, student advising, resident dormitory supervision, and coaching or equivalents. Candidates are encouraged to include in their application experiences that may support our athletic and student life programs.
The successful applicant will have at least a bachelor’s degree in history or a related field (master’s preferred) and be eager to work with students at all levels. Candidates should have a broad background that enables them to teach a variety of courses in the history and social science program, including both world and U.S. history. Experience teaching Economics is a plus. Additional qualifications include strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, and knowledge of current technologies for teaching.
Candidates should be familiar with boarding school life and have an interest in making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents. They will have demonstrated experience in equity and inclusion work that promotes a diverse community environment and a clear understanding of anti-bias education.
