PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is vital in delivering our high-quality products, new product development, and customer service. This role is responsible for manufacturing support, diagnosing problems, and appropriate corrective actions. This role requires minimal assistance or supervision with providing direct support for internal customers impacting overall team satisfaction, supporting continuous improvement efforts, waste reduction, and productivity goals and objectives. This position works cross-functionally throughout the organization on multiple facets including Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.

FOCUS:

Create, maintain, improve, and repair, manufacturing processes that meet Grip-Tite’s standards.

• Provide technical support for production equipment and processes
• Diagnose technical problems and determine appropriate corrective actions
• Develop maintenance processes and documentation
• Perform planned and unplanned equipment and facilities maintenance
• Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process
• Support of continuous improvement efforts related to manufacturing including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives
• Deliver training for manufacturing operations and processes
• Ergonomic considerations
• Collaborate with all interested parties across multiple functions
• Accurately perform required computer data entry and work order transactions
• Utilizes MaintainX to prioritize work orders and maintenance planning 

  SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

•  A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance
• Lock-out / Tag-out knowledge is required
• Electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control experiences are required
• Ability and willingness to work directly with people of varying disciplines
• Manufacturing and Production experience required
• Direct hands-on experience with industrial equipment and steel fabrication processes is required
  • laser cutting, robotic welder, manual welding, punch presses, CNC saws, etc.
• Ability to be a Systematic Thinker
• Comfortable and willing to create and modify a system to support the flow of activities and work
• Ability to communicate difficult concepts to non-technical individuals
• Strong communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to build solid relationships with a wide array of participants to provide excellent customer service to internal teams and other business partners through interpersonal, verbal and written communications. 
• Previous experience with CMMS applications
• Solid analytical skills to visualize, articulate, understand, and tell stories using data
• Desire to take initiative and think of solutions for problems that you may encounter
• Solid judgement and critical thinking skills; not afraid of complex problems
• Can easily manage multiple tasks in a well-organized and highly detailed manner while working in a fast-paced, perpetually evolving, relationship-driven environment
• Computer skills with basic applications - MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) 

  EDUCATION:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent required 
• Post-secondary education in a relatable field preferred
• Certification within a technical field and/or organization desired
• Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals a plus 
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician a plus
• International Maintenance Institute a plus
