Job brief:
This position entails being a hands-on, valuable team member for our install crews. This role requires regular communication with the Crew Leader and Management to ensure all responsibilities and work performed is done to company and industry standards. The right candidate will be detail oriented and have a passion for building and installing beautiful, ecological landscapes within a growing company. The job involves maintaining a variety of landscape structures that range from typical grassy areas like lawns or gardens to more granular items such as houseplants. Ultimately, you will be responsible for building and maintaining beautiful gardens and grounds.
Schedule & Salary:
Four Day Work Week: Position is full-time, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm (Weekends as needed).
Starting pay $17-$18/hour, dependent on experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Meet with crew leaders and management to discuss jobs and tasks for the day.
  • Work with a team to craft installations including: flower and landscape beds, raised garden beds, sod, paver patios, irrigation systems, and landscape lighting and other hardscapes.
  • Willingness to “get dirty” by weeding, ripping out plants & hardscapes, pruning, moving materials, edging, transplanting, laying sod, and using gas-powered equipment.
  • Apply pesticides to remove harmful insects such as mosquitos, wasps, and ticks
  • Conduct general maintenance duties such as cleaning walkways and fixing fountains
  • Trim and edge around walks, flower beds and walls
  • Trim overgrown limbs, hedges and leaves to ensure an appealing look to the area
  • Ensure proper tools and materials are available and onsite for each job.
  • Maintain a high level of tidiness and professionalism at job sites and throughout the community.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in landscape installation, hardscape installation, organic gardening, or carpentry is preferred.
  • Must be able to operate maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers
  • Strong knowledge of pest management and basic lawn maintenance
  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to oversee several projects at a time
  • Ability to work within a team and independently on assigned job tasks.
  • Desire to complete projects in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
