Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the ML pipeline's design, development, and operational lifecycle, following best practices
• Design, build, and implement intricate AI/ML solutions on cloud platforms that adapt to evolving business and technical needs
• Develop infrastructure and architecture diagrams
• Lead collaborations with data scientists and engineering teams to enhance ML pipeline efficiency
• Distribute tasks among junior ML engineers and ensure completion
• Refine coding practices, manage code reviews, and integrate best model management practices
• Offer insights on new technologies and tools, propose enhancements
• Assist in the recruitment process for junior and senior ML engineers

Requirements

• Background in AI/ML engineering and leadership
• Proficiency in machine learning model development
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, data management, testing, and deployment
• Expertise in creating scalable, reliable, and maintainable ML systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with senior business stakeholders, customers, and team members
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting, guide junior team members, and provide technical leadership
• Strong knowledge and experience in Python development
• Familiarity with cloud-native services including GCP, AWS, and Azure
• Experience with various MLOps platforms/technologies such as AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, GCP Vertex AI / AI Platform, Databricks MLFlow, Kubeflow, Airflow, TensorFlow Extended

Nice to have

• Practical knowledge of the Apache Spark Ecosystem
• Expertise in LLM/GenAI
