Four Oaks, a gateway to North Carolina’s capital and coast, is a charming small town centered between Boston and Miami on I-95. First Baptist Church Four Oaks in Four Oaks, NC (Johnston County) is prayerfully seeking its next Pastor.
Responsibilities:
The Pastor of First Baptist Church Four Oaks is the full-time spiritual leader of the church, and is responsible to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to teach Biblical scripture, to engage in pastoral care, and to provide administrative leadership in all areas of church life and function.
Candidates should be able to lead collaboratively with the deacons and the church staff to provide opportunities for church members/guests to worship and grow in their walk of faith, impacting the communities with Christ-centered lives.
Qualifications:
Candidates should be an ordained and licensed minister of the Gospel from a Southern Baptist and/or a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Church, with at least 3-5 years of experience as a Pastor, and have a minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited theological seminary or divinity school.
Candidates should stand firm for the sacredness of the scriptures, the priesthood of all believers, the sanctity of human life, and the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman and should be willing to abide by the Baptist Faith and Message of 1963.
Candidates should have experience in managing staff, possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining a vital personal relationship with the Lord through daily Bible study and prayer, as well as having healthy priorities at home with family.
