Overview

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our team at our facility in Mebane, NC. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure efficient production processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up machinery for operation
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning
• Perform quality control checks on products
• Adjust machine settings as needed
• Clean and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
• Report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors
• Set up CNC machines based on job specifications and blueprints.
• Load raw materials into the machine and install appropriate cutting inserts.
• Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software to perform machining operations.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust settings as necessary to ensure product quality and accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Document production activities, including machine settings, tool changes, and part measurements.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to optimize machining processes and improve product quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to understand part specifications and dimensions.
