The Mayor's Assistant is a contract position who is responsible for managing the Mayor's daily schedule and providing administrative and clerical support to the Mayor. Additionally, this position is responsible for overseeing Citywide communications, including both external and internal mass communications, public information and outreach, public involvement, and media relations. A high level of discretion and sensitivity is required in successfully performing the duties of this job.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Talk, hear, and speak. Standing for prolonged periods of times during City events. Walking, stooping, crouching. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
