• Test and validate structural components and designs for flight readiness
• Iterate and prototype designs frequently, characterizing performance and documenting results
• Collaborate with production and analysis teams to meet project goals: adhering to quality standards, budgets, and timelines
• Exercise the ability to quickly adapt, pivot, and offer creative solutions to unforeseen challenges
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related discipline; MS preferred
• Preferably 1-3 years of industry experience, specifically with spacecraft design, solar arrays, or RF antennas
• Demonstrated creative problem-solving in engineering
• Understanding of GD&T and standard analysis practices
• Fluency in CAD, preferably SolidWorks
• Strong organizational and communication skills (oral, written, and presentation)
• Team-oriented with the ability to be a self-starter and work independently
• Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
• US citizen or permanent residen

Compensation and Benefits:
• Salary range of $72,000 - $100,000, based on experience and qualifications
• Flexible and hybrid work schedules: 9/80 or 10/80 schedules, with two or more days in office
• Opterus pays 100% of employees' premiums and 70% of dependents' premiums
• Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Life and AD&D insurances
• 401K matching up to 4%
