Job Description



AECOM  is seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer III to be based in Honolulu, Hawaii.

This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
• Capable of working independently or within a design team

• Attend client meetings and coordinate with diverse project teams.

•Excellent communication skills with project team, partners, agencies, and clients

Qualifications



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field plus 4 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred to visit project sites or clients if public transportation is not available. Selected candidate will undergo a Motor Vehicle Records review. 

PREFERRED

QUALIFICATIONS

:

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam

  • Engineer In Training Certification

  • Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Arc GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models

  • Previous work experience with engineering firms, contractors, or government agencies involved in design, construction, or management of Water Resources, Site Development, Transportation, Stormwater, Wastewater or other general civil-related projects.

  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Honolulu, Hawaii. The selected candidate must be available to work in Honolulu, Hawaii on a scheduled basis.
