Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Follow general instructions for routine tasks and detailed instructions for new tasks.
  • Use laboratory equipment, including pipettes, peristaltic pumps, and analytical balances, for liquid antibody filling into vials.
  • Gather materials, set up production orders, and present for line clearance verification.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production objectives while meeting departmental quality standards.
  • Manage and organize packaging supplies and material, including retrieving and staging supplies.
  • Support preparation of technical manuals, data sheets, and printed literature as needed.
  • Document packaging data in SAP or other production databases.
  • Participate in daily shift meetings and safety programs; follow EH&S policies.
  • Notify supervisors of any observed hazardous conditions or unsafe practices and offer recommendations for safety improvement.
  • Complete manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of finished products, including adherence to Quality specifications and defect removal.
  • Engage in inventory counting and documentation of manufacturing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform routine cleaning of packaging stations and processing equipment.

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 6 months of industry work experience, particularly in a manufacturing or laboratory setting.
  • Experience with laboratory instruments, including pipettes, peristaltic pumps, and analytical balances.
  • Familiarity with packaging in a controlled lab or production environment.

Skills & Certifications

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in basic math skills, including volume calculations and metric system understanding.
  • Team-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using general business software and databases (e.g., SAP).

Eligibilities & qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Science or manufacturing background, familiarity with quality control in packaging, and strong documentation practices.
  • Compliance with safety protocols, including PPE, and ability to handle hazardous waste.
  • Flexibility to work static or rotating shifts, with potential for overtime.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods, handle materials up to 20-30 pounds, and adhere to dress code requirements for lab safety.
