Job Description

Do you love digging into research, helping people, and solving problems? We’re hiring a paralegal to assist our legal team in preparing legal documents, filing motions and applications, coordinating law office activity, and conducting legal research. We seek an intelligent, self-driven, people-friendly, dedicated, highly organized, and detail-oriented Immigration Law Paralegal with 3 or more years of experience who is excited to become part of our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and ample experience in immigration law, and be able to provide exceptional support to our attorneys and clients.   • Preparing USCIS application forms and memorandum in support of filings before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, for immigrant and non-immigrant visas
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to immigration law, including researching and interpreting relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including petitions, applications, pleadings, legal briefs, and other filings, to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials, including preparing exhibits, conducting witness interviews, gathering evidence, assisting with client meetings, and filing motions.
  • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems.
  • Manage, and organize immigration cases, including tracking deadlines, maintaining case files, and communicating with clients and other parties.
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed, to support the attorneys and the immigration practice.
Qualifications:
  • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of immigration law and relevant regulations and statutes.
  • Minimum of 3 years of immigration law-related work experience under the supervision of a licensed attorney or in a law firm setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of visa, permanent residency, and secondary benefit applications and substantial experience in preparing such petition packages.
  • Excellent legal research and analysis skills.
  • Ability to prepare and review legal documents accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with legal case management systems and software is a plus.
