Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Case Manager to join their team remotely for the remainder of the school year. This full-time, remote position offers the flexibility of working from home while supporting students in grades 6 through 12. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students with special needs thrive, ensuring their educational needs are met in line with individualized education plans (IEPs) and best practices.

Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of students in grades 6 through 12, ensuring their special education needs are met.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop, review, and implement IEPs.
Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed to ensure academic success and behavioral development.
Ensure compliance with special education laws, regulations, and district policies.
Provide positive behavior support and advocacy for students with special needs.
Maintain accurate and timely records, including IEP documentation and progress reports.

Qualifications:

Valid New York Special Education Teaching Credentials.
In-depth knowledge of IEPs, special education laws, and positive behavior support strategies.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and educational teams.
