Position Summary:
The Pastry Chef will lead our pastry program, creating sophisticated, seasonal desserts that reflect Le Jardinier’s vegetable-driven philosophy and classic French technique. This role requires creativity, precision, and strong leadership in a fine dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a refined pastry menu aligned with Le Jardinier’s culinary vision
• Lead, train, and mentor the pastry team to ensure excellence in preparation and presentation
• Oversee daily production for à la carte service, special events, and private dining
• Maintain exceptional quality, consistency, and visual appeal of all pastry items
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team on menu development and seasonal changes
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for the pastry department
• Ensure full compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Foster a professional, respectful, and collaborative kitchen environment
• Uphold Bastion Hospitality’s commitment to service excellence and hospitality
• Maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information, demonstrating tact and discretion at all times

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in an upscale, fine dining environment
• Strong knowledge of classic French pastry techniques with modern presentation
• Creativity and passion for showcasing seasonal fruits and vegetables in desserts
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Highly organized with strong time-management abilities
• Commitment to exceptional food safety and sanitation practices
• Currently authorized to work in the US
• Candidates must live in New York or be planning to relocate in the near future
