Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and execute payroll operations for our diverse, multi-state workforce. In this fully remote role, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, and provide exceptional support to our employees regarding payroll inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

Process biweekly and monthly payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, deductions, and final pay calculations.

Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.

Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.

Assist in the preparation of year-end tax documents, including W-2s and 1099s.

Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure integrity and accuracy.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in payroll processing or a related field.

Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance issues.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
