We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our HR team. This role is responsible for accurately processing payroll for all employees within the company, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of payroll systems and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Payroll Specialist Responsibilities :
  • Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees (salaried, hourly, and contract) on a bi-weekly basis
  • Ensure all employee timecards are reviewed and entered correctly into the payroll system
  • Apply appropriate deductions (taxes, benefits, garnishments, etc.) in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Perform routine audits to verify the accuracy of hours worked, leave balances, overtime calculations, and other payroll-related information
  • Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system, ensuring that changes in compensation, benefits, or tax withholding are reflected accurately
  • Process new hires, terminations, and other status changes in the payroll system in a timely manner
  • Address employee payroll inquiries related to pay discrepancies, deductions, tax filings, and other payroll-related issues
  • Provide clear, timely responses to inquiries and ensure resolution of any payroll issues
Payroll Specialist Requirements :
  • Strong expertise in payroll processing, including understanding of federal, state, and local tax requirements
  • Proficient with payroll systems and software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all payroll-related tasks
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
