• Call Coverage:
  • Primary coverage of the patients in the Pediatric unit
  • Consultation with families and referring physicians
  • Newborn coverage
  • Attendance at high risk deliveries
  • Provide consults as needed in the ED
• Call Type: In-House
• Patient Census:
  • Newborn Nursery: 3-5 babies
  • Pediatric Floor: 2-3 patients or can accommodate to 6 or more patients
• Annual Deliveries: 600-800
• Total No. of Beds: 247; 9 NICU
• Other Info:
  • Call is from home with possibly being called into the unit 3-4 days and sometimes getting no calls for 3-4 days
  • Weekends are fairly shared by the current physicians some physicians prefer to pick up more weekends that others

Requirements:

• NC License or willing to obtain.
• BC/BE (If BE, within 5 years of residency).
