Now Hiring! Metal Buildings Industry Detailer Custom designed workshops, garages, storage buildings, ag buildings; residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Our client offers products that can be found all around you! How can you help? By preparing detailed plans, construction and shop drawings and other documents for the fabrication and erection of these custom steel buildings. Here’s what you would be doing everyday: Prepare erection drawings, which are used to guide the steel erector in the field (show dimensional plans to locate steel members). Prepare shop drawings, which are used to specify the exact detailing requirements for fabricating each individual member of a structure. Calculate placement and quantities of parts. Prepare shipping documents. Inventory all members required for each completed project. Put together web drawings, which are 2 dimensional, for shop to help fabricate all members (welding, bolting, etc.) Prepare all required documents (SPR, PHSUM, Shipping). Upload final documents to ERP Systems. You will be a part of a collaborative team, so there may be other functions that you can get involved in. Our client is looking for: Minimum of 1 year of experience detailing PEMB (Pre-engineered Metal Buildings) Proficiency in AutoCAD and MBS (Metal Building Software) Strong math comprehension (geometry and trigonometry) Solid understanding of steel building fabrication, engineering principles and related drawings A certificate or degree in CAD, Engineering or related (or will consider more hands-on experience) In return, our client offers: A competitive wage, but that is secondary to how much you will love this company and the people you work with.
