Position: President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Description:
The Asher House seeks a visionary nonprofit leader skilled in driving organizational success and empowering a passionate, high-performing team.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will have overall management responsibility for a growing nonprofit with significant potential for expansion.
This individual will be charged with leading the organization through its next phase of growth, scaling operations, and advancing the mission of animal welfare.
The CEO will advance the organization in terms of culture, capability, processes, and impact, working closely with the leadership team to inspire innovation and ensure The Asher House continues making meaningful contributions to animal welfare and community engagement.
Key responsibilities include providing executive leadership, overseeing daily operations and strategic growth, developing and implementing strategic plans, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture, leading organizational transformation and growth, implementing performance metrics and processes, leading fundraising initiatives, cultivating donor relationships, developing sponsorships, diversifying revenue streams, providing financial oversight, managing the organizational budget, ensuring financial sustainability, serving as a spokesperson, building partnerships, representing the organization externally at events, and maintaining a transparent relationship with the Board of Directors.
Requirements: 5+ years of executive leadership experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization; proven experience in animal welfare with unwavering ethical integrity and commitment; successful management of an organizational budget of $5M+ (preferably $10M+); experience managing teams of 50+ in complex environments; experience diversifying revenue streams and leading successful fundraising, donor cultivation, grants, and sponsorships; strong financial acumen and oversight; experience developing strategy and driving long-term sustainability; startup experience strongly preferred; high emotional intelligence for key relationships; proven ability to lead and scale organizations during rapid growth and transformation; strong change management skills; experience developing leadership teams and fostering accountability and collaboration; ability to partner with the founder on social media and community engagement; West Coast location preferred or willingness to relocate.
