Job Description

R2Net is seeking a dynamic, media-savvy, and proactive Public Relations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping and enhancing the public image of both JamesAllen.com and Blue Nile.

Reporting directly to the Director of PR, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including social media, influencer marketing, merchandising, and performance marketing—to bring integrated brand stories to life. You’ll engage with media daily, draft external-facing materials, assist on paid media partnerships, support events and showroom appointments for press as needed and play a key role in the execution of public relations and paid media strategies that elevate brand awareness.

The ideal candidate has a passion for the jewelry and fashion world, a solid network of media contacts, and hands-on experience leading pitch efforts in a fast-paced, ever-evolving media landscape.

Responsibilities :

· Assist in development and execution of strategic PR & paid media campaigns to promote both JamesAllen.com and Blue Nile across target media outlets.

· Craft compelling external-facing materials: pitches, media alerts, and executive talking points.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with editors across lifestyle, fashion and trade publications to secure impactful media coverage.

· Help run paid media campaigns and partnerships with different publishers to drive brand awareness and sales.

· Work closely with other marketing divisions (creative, social, influencer, etc.) to ensure all materials are gathered for paid media campaigns and PR outreach.

· Maintain and regularly update the shared media contact database for both the PR Specialist and Director.

· Monitor media coverage and industry trends, offering insights and recommendations to optimize future PR initiatives.

· Manage all PR & paid media reporting including monthly and yearly recaps for both brands and tracking against competitors. Use metrics to evaluate the success of campaigns and inform strategies.

· Support executive leadership in preparing interview prep documents and drafting interview answers that align with brand messaging.

· Organize and coordinate media events and press appointments to strengthen our brand presence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. 

• 2-3 Years of experience in public relations, preferably within the luxury or e-commerce industry. 

• Proven ability to develop and execute successful PR strategies, with a strong portfolio of media placements. 

• Strong relationships with key journalists, media contacts, and influencers. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft media materials. 

• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. 

• Strong understanding of the media landscape and ongoing industry trends.

• Creative thinker with the ability to identify new PR opportunities and tactics. 

• Proficiency with PR tracking tools, media databases, and analytics platforms (e.g., Muck Rack, Meltwater, Google Analytics). 

• Ability to work cross-functionally with the marketing team to align PR efforts with broader company initiatives.

Annual base pay: $66,000 - $85,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
