Quality Manager

We are seeking a Quality Manager who is an excellent communicator who can bridge the gap between the shop floor production and the customer. Along with the responsibility for the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality inspection team, the ability to inspect small metal and plastic parts and assist production in solving quality issues to improve the product off the floor is critical.

Company is a fast-paced contract manufacturer that specializes in precision machined products from a variety of metals and plastics. They serve the aerospace, defense, and commercial industries. The position oversees all aspects of quality management within an AS9100 and ISO9001 environment.

Requirements:

• Five years minimum quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Managing the QMS,including controlling the Quality Manual, documentation, processes, and internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards

• Responding to any product quality related problems that arise during the manufacturing and shipping processes
• Reviewing all nonconforming material received internally or from customers and suppliers and determining the actions required through the non-conformance and corrective action processes, including communications with suppliers and customers

• Ensuring all equipment and gaging required for use in QC inspection is fit for use prior to its release and oversee the planning and scheduling all calibration activity for measuring

• Maintaining good relationships with the company’s customers and suppliers

Skilled in the use of the following is a plus:

• Optical & Video Comparator
• CMM and Keyence Measurement equipment
• Cert Review for Processing: Heat Treat, Anodizing, Plating, Passivate, etc.
• Standard Calibration Methods
• Effective Communication skills are a must
