Job Description

RN needed for our orthopaedic ambulatory surgery center to float between post-op and surgery as needed. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, 32 - 40 hours per week.  No weekends, no holidays, and no call!

Summary of Responsibilities

• Perform age-specific assessment and intervention for surgical patient during post-operative phase and provide post-operative/discharge instruction prior to discharge.
• Assess and implement supportive measures before, during, and after operative procedures.
• Implement emergency procedures as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records and controlled substances logs.
• Initiate physicians orders.
• Maintains compliance with OSHA standards for healthcare facilities.
• Participate in educational opportunities for professional growth and development.

Position Requirements

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing with active Kansas licensure
• 1 year general nursing experience, orthopaedics helpful
• 1 year experience PACU or OR experience
• Excellent communication skills
• BCLS certified, ACLS and PALS preferred
