Join a dynamic team implementing and providing Security guidance to our Tactical Solutions Business Sector campus located in Westminster, CO. As a Security Specialist Senior, you will work with the SAP Security and Industrial Security teams, site leadership and both internal and external customers to support a variety of fascinating programs. This role provides onsite support for the site’s collateral security program.

The Enterprise Assurance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers critical assurance disciplines that protect and enable people, data and missions. We provide a comprehensive approach to managing risk across the enterprise for current and future information environments where the business and missions execute. We apply the use of innovative tools and robust processes to ensure mission and business success.

What You’ll Do:
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgement in performing the following tasks:
    • Interpret government and internal company policies, develop and implement security plans and procedures utilizing the new 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals as well as any other specific programmatic instruction manuals.
    • Conduct security briefings and provide security guidance to company personnel.
    • Conduct inquiries and interviews of non‐compliance matters and issues relating to security violation.
    • Complete appropriate documentation according to company and government directives.
    • Coordinate personnel security actions with Personnel Security team and FSO.
    • Manage classified inventory including shipping, receiving, auditing, and contract close-outs.
    • Oversee operation of accredited Open Storage Areas, Accredited Areas and Containers including combination changes, and providing employee open/close training.
    • Perform Personnel Security (PERSEC) actions for a population of approximately 1,000 persons.
    • Assist with facility construction and continued accreditation requirements.
    • Assist with security reviews such as formal self-inspections, customer inspections and Staff Assistance Visits.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
  • Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time onsite. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • A current, active Secret security clearance is required (within 10 year scope).
  • As this position requires operating a company vehicle, an offer and subsequent employment are contingent upon possessing and maintaining a valid US driver's license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
  • Working knowledge of contracts, subcontractor and consultants.
  • DISS, JADE, SIMS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to adapt to various daily environments.
  • Flexible with providing support to programs and project teams.
  • Demonstrate understanding of SAP Security Manuals.
  • Proficient communication skills.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions.
  • Maintain personnel & training records.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Certifications: ISP, CPP or CDSE Certifications (any)

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $78760.000 - $133870.000

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
