Job Description

Position Overview:
Fischer Restoration is seeking a skilled and versatile Finish Carpenter/Drywall and Painting Specialist to join our dedicated team. This individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality finish carpentry, drywall installation and repair, and painting services for residential and commercial restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a commitment to craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Finish Carpentry:
    • Install, repair, and replace trim, molding, baseboards, doors, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry elements.
    • Accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials to ensure a precise fit and seamless appearance.
  2. Drywall:
    • Install, patch, and repair drywall to meet project specifications.
    • Perform taping, mudding, and sanding to achieve smooth and professional surfaces.
  3. Painting:
    • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming.
    • Apply paint, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
    • Ensure clean lines, even coverage, and a high-quality finish.
  4. Project Support:
    • Collaborate with other team members to complete restoration projects on time and to client satisfaction.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are in good condition.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finish carpentry, drywall installation/repair, and painting.
    • Restoration experience is a plus but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and job specifications.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and in various environments.
  • Other:
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
