Within Engineering, the successful candidate will perform Software Configuration Management (SCM) tasks including the fundamentals of Configuration Management: identification, change management, status accounting, audit, and verification. Additionally, the candidate will perform Data Transfer Agent (DTA) tasks, transferring contractually required data from one classified area to another, executing to policies and procedures defined by the Security team. This fast-paced role is vital to the performance of a program throughout its lifecycle.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, this position is to be performed
full-time on site , conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Under direct supervision of the SCM Lead, the successful candidate will execute SCM activities per the Configuration Data Management Plan and BAE Systems policies. The SCM will learn to manage software repositories using designated SCM tools for software version and baseline control, using BAE Systems procedures. They will learn to perform, and document required software change records and builds as directed to ensure reproducible software configuration baselines and deliveries. They will gain experience in executing release and change control functions using SCM tools in order to ensure software product integrity.
As the DTA y ou will be required to review data transfer requests, execute the transfer, moving the data from one location to another, following defined processes and proactively communicate status with the requesting individual.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Two or more years related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Experience with basic computer applications, databases, operating systems, and hardware.
- Experience with SCM tools such as Git, Jira, BitBucket, ClearCase and ClearQuest.
- Experience with the performance of moderately complex systems administration tasks for these tools or for PCs.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $61820 - $105050

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
