Job Description

Lynden Incorporated is seeking an Software Developer Intern with a passion for technology, collaboration and creative problem-solving to work as part of our SeaTac based team. You will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and management. In addition to working on an impactful project, you will have the opportunity to engage with developers for both personal and professional development and expand your network. T his is a paid internship; you will generally work 40 hours per week for a period of 17 weeks during the summer. This position is non-safety sensitive.

Our internship program offers you opportunities to network and learn through:

  • Participating in tours at the different Lynden Operating Companies.
  • Informational lunches with Lynden executives including Operations, Marketing, HR,
  • Legal, Finance and Company Presidents.
  • Assisting with organizing the Lynden summer barbeque and other employee events. Intern team building activities.
  • Group and team-related projects include presenting to our group of executives.

  • Works closely with customers and senior-level developers to understand business requirements that drive the analysis, design and development of quality/cost effective technical solutions.
  • Ensures delivery of high-quality software by writing clean code and utilizing unit test, continuous integration and code reviews.
  • Responsibilities may include participation in component and architecture design, performance monitoring and product evaluation.
  • Work with the software development team to meet deliverables. You will receive guidance from a platform developer throughout the project work.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

  What we need from you:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in web development technologies like Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Basic understanding and experience with Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
