Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible Senior Government Contracts Administrator to join our team. Your main duties will be to prepare, negotiate and review various Federal company contracts, including prime contract awards from various government agencies. You will also serve as the main point of contact to manage Ursa Space’s Subcontractor Team of 40+ companies for Federal contracts, including multiple IDIQs. 

A successful Senior Government Contracts Administrator will demonstrate a strong attention to detail along with the ability to discover potential risks for our company. You will also assist Ursa Space in compliance with a changing Federal contracting environment. You should also analyze contracts with an eye toward reducing costs and increasing profits, while ensuring compliance with the law and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Our ideal candidate has previous experience managing contracts and is familiar with Federal Contracting and Subcontracting.

The Senior Government Contracts Administrator will report to the COO.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in the creation, negotiation and administration of federal government contracts and subcontracts
• Work internally with Information Security, People Operations, Finance, and other groups to ensure compliance with contract requirements in business operations
• Manage data calls and other data delivery for subcontractor teams, prime contractors, and federal awards
• Ensure timely processing of subcontract administrative actions, including initial award documentation, funding modifications, ceiling increases, and other miscellaneous adjustments to the subcontract agreement
• Perform Cost & Price Analysis of Subcontractor Proposed Pricing to ensure it is fair and reasonable for proposal submissions and subcontract awards
• Create and maintain compliant audit files in accordance with customer requirements, local laws, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and internal policies and procedures
• Serve as a liaison and facilitator between the program team and the subcontractor regarding contracting issues
• Support the Ursa Space sales team as needed to ensure contract deliverable understanding and delivery
• Work with the sales team in closing deals by seeing purchase contracts from the beginning stages through execution. Review various agreements and work with customers to negotiate terms agreeable to both parties.
• Assist in creating and maintaining any templates as needed for contractual documents and agreements that may need updating or have to evolve as the company's needs change. These agreements include the Non-Disclosure Agreement, Master Services Agreement, Subscription Agreements, Subcontractor Agreements, etc.
• Work with Finance department and Sales teams to track contract period of performances to ensure invoices are sent out and Ursa Space is paid in a timely manner
• Ensure that employees understand and comply with company contracts, especially terms and conditions related to U.S. Government and Cybersecurity contract requirements
• Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms
• Serve as a point of contact with legal counsel to ensure all contracts and agreements are agreeable and minimize risk to Ursa Space
• Maintain and serve as primary administrator on accounts receivable systems for government payments and prime contractors
• Maintain Sam.gov and other Federal Contracting registrations for the company and its affiliates
• Assist in implementation of a scalable contracts tracking system 
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration and/or relevant experience
• 5-10 years of  proven work experience as a Contracts Administrator, Contracts Manager or experience, including support for IDIQs, T&M, CPFF and FFP Contracts
• Knowledge of US FAR Regulations
• Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts and experience in subcontract negotiations
• Familiarity with government approved accounting methods
• Excellent writing skills
• Keen attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors and experience in subcontract negotiations
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• High technological competence matching with the responsibilities listed above
• Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners

Preferred Skills

• Additional qualifications in law
• Experience supporting USG Department of Defense agencies. 

Location

• Hybrid and/or Remote. Required attendance at mandatory Ursa Space in-person meetings when necessary (typically 2-3 times per year)

Compensation Range

• $95,000 - $115,000
• Compensation range includes base salary only
