The Terminal Manager manages all rail operations in the terminal and ensures that a high quality of safe, on-time service is mirrored throughout the staff. A successful candidate needs excellent customer service skills, leadership skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, and a proven ability to motivate his/her teams to high performance and a self-starter. We are looking for a strong team member who leads by example and brings an innovative mindset to enhance The BRC.

Principal Duties:

  • Responsible for investigating accidents and injuries to determine cause and minimize future occurrences.
  • Often work with train dispatchers and customer ops group
  • Responsible for the on time inbound and departure of freight trains
  • Plans the operation to provide required service to customers and fulfill service requirements.
  • Requires a good working knowledge of safety and operating rules, train operations, FRA regulations, hazardous materials, labor agreements, crew call, and other applications.
  • Develops, motivates, and trains employees who work in the assigned territory.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb on/near equipment
  • Ability to stand and walk over uneven terrain
  • Successful completion of the conductor certification is required
  • Responsible for supervising Agreement (union) employees
  • Train rides
  • Rule incidents and injury investigations

Education:

  • MS Word/Word Processing
  • Other Technical Skill will be included in training
