Job Description

flyVENTURE (FAA Part 91) is now accepting pilot resumes for its Tampa, FL (KTPF) sightseeing tour operation. Pilots will fly a Robinson R44 Clipper I or Clipper II (with floats) and will need to relocate within 45 minutes to Tampa, FL. Position is available now. We're averaging approximately 25-30 flight hours per month (with seasonal fluctuations).

Pay: Pilot will be paid $85-$120 per day (depending on weekdays, weekends, holidays and season) plus $20 per collective flight hour. In addition, pilots can typically expect $75-$100 in tips from customers per day based on engagement, friendliness, and number of flight bookings. $5 bonus pay for each positive customer review.

Employment Type: Contractor 1099

Work Schedule: 5 days/week (or more if desired) - Days are flexible. You can schedule your time off yourself.

Job Requirements

  • FAA Commercial Helicopter (Rotorcraft) Certificate
  • Current FAA Class II (or higher) Medical Certificate
  • R44 SFAR
  • Minimum 400 hours Rotorcraft PIC
  • Minimum 50 hours PIC Robinson R44
  • Current in the Robinson R44
  • Willingness to work long days, nights, weekends, holidays, scheduled days off, overtime and on-call
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must
  • Must have a good personality and a love of working with the public
  • No accidents or FAA violations in last 10 years
  • Applicant must be able to follow direction and work harmoniously in a highly-structured environment
  • Must currently meet flight weight requirement of less than 215lbs
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident at time of application
  • Candidates must have flexible schedule and availability on weekends and holidays, specifically December-April (peak season).
  • Duties include, but are not limited to answering phone calls to answer questions and take reservations, daily cleaning of aircraft, refueling, keeping flight logs and inventory up to date, maintenance flights, etc.
  • Must have a professional and 'clean-cut' appearance.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Certified Flight Instructor rating (CFI) in R44 (preferred but not required)
  • Completed the Robinson Safety Course (preferred but not required)
  • PIC recent experience (last 90 days) in Robinson R44
  • Please highlight any non-aviation skills you might have
