Job Description

HSE Specialist Job Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and mitigate potential risks in the workplace. Coordinate training programs for employees on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and hazard recognition. Prepare and submit reports on HSE compliance, incidents, and corrective actions to management and regulatory agencies. Investigate accidents and incidents, providing recommendations for prevention and improvements to workplace safety. Serve as the point of contact for HSE concerns, advising management and staff on best practices and compliance requirements. Promote a culture of safety within the organization by encouraging reporting of unsafe conditions and behaviors. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in health, safety, and environmental management. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local HSE regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels. Desired Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles, preferably within a corporate or industrial environment. Experience in conducting HSE audits and risk assessments. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful health and safety programs.
