Job Description



Pay: $19.14/hr + $2/hr shift differential between the hours of 5pm-5am (totaling $21.14/hr with shift differential)

Shift: Monday - Thursday   8pm-8am

Location:  Douglassville, PA

Position: 

At Techo-Bloc, our industrial cleaners are a crucial piece of the production puzzle. This entry level role is a perfect fit for those newer to the industry, or anyone looking for a career steppingstone in manufacturing.

Your day-to-day will include basic cleaning tasks in the plant but, most importantly, keeping the cement mixers clean, while putting safety at the forefront. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Industrial cleaning of all facility equipment, using hand tools, and cleaning applications.  
  • Must be able to climb in and out of the machines and drums.   
  • Must be okay with heights and crawling in small tight spaces 
  • Takes personal responsibility for ensuring a safe workplace.  
  • Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, protective eyewear, and safety shoes.  
  • Establishes and maintains good housekeeping standards in all work areas.  
  • Attends all required training. 
  • Maintain clean equipment. 
  • Support 5S implementation and maintenance throughout the plant.  
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision, with self-directed work skills. 
  • May have to support production when needed. 

Qualifications



Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Good oral and written communication skills, computer skills, reasoning, and mathematical skills.  
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas 

Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma, or GED equivalent (highly preferred)

The employee must frequently transport and move items up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Must be able to closely inspect materials and products. Employee must be able to identify color blends, variances, non-conforming color blends with up to three different colors on each product. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary or move throughout the workstations; also includes the ability to ascend and descend steps and ladders; and position self in tight spaces. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
