Job Title: Bilingual Security Officer (Gatehouse/Rover)

Position Overview:

We are seeking three highly motivated and professional bilingual (English/Spanish) Security Officers to join our team at a prestigious high-rise condominium in the Biscayne area. The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents, visitors, and property through gatehouse operations, roving patrols, and meticulous enforcement of condominium rules and regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to handle diverse situations with tact and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Gatehouse Operations:
  • Control and monitor access to the condominium property, verifying resident and visitor credentials.
  • Operate and maintain gatehouse security systems, including access control software and CCTV.
  • Accurately record visitor information and issue temporary passes.
  • Answer and direct phone calls and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide clear and concise information to residents and visitors regarding building policies and procedures.
• Roving Patrols:
  • Conduct regular patrols of the building and grounds, including parking areas, common areas, and amenity spaces.
  • Monitor for and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or maintenance issues.
  • Enforce parking regulations and issue warnings or citations as necessary.
  • Respond to and investigate security alarms and incidents.
  • Provide assistance to residents and visitors as needed.
• Resident and Visitor Interaction:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors, addressing their concerns and inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations calmly and effectively.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and create a welcoming environment.
• Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of security activities and incidents.
  • Utilize computer entry software for resident and visitor management.
  • Prepare incident reports and other documentation as required.
  • Follow post orders with precision.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required).
• Minimum of 1 year of security experience in a residential setting (high-rise condominium experience preferred).
• Proficiency in using computer entry software for access control and visitor management.
• Knowledge of parking enforcement procedures and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Valid Florida Security Officer "D" License (preferred).
• Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Compensation:

• $18.81 per hour.
